ABOUT

Quantum_|_Quench(tm) is a radically new type of oil and gas blowout stopping technology developed by the R&D company Paradyme Systems USA (ParadymeUSA.com).  It was invented by them during the 2010 Deepwater Horizon, Gulf of Mexico, disaster, after noticing the many failed and futile attempts made by BP to bring the massive spill under control. George Sachs, president and CTO of ParadymeUSA immediately saw that there was an urgent need for a much better technology that could work in hours, or days, instead of months. None of the existing mitigation methods will ever be able to do that (including the latest capping stacks developed by the oil companies). Unfortunately, to date, BOP's have had a terrible track record and capping stacks have only been used once (to finally stop the Macondo blowout). Even in the rare instance when some of these older methods may work, they can still pose serious safety issues, which the industry would prefer not to have to discuss or address. These additional safety issues relate to the extremely high pressures that are present in deep water wells, especially when first drilled, which can easily exceed the design specifications of the casing material used in most wells. Without these very high pressures being properly handled, casings can easily rupture, causing even greater damage to well structures that can lead to a truly catastrophic series of events. When BOP's and capping systems fail, or are not able to be used due to these safety concerns (such as happened in the, 2016, SoCalGas disaster in Porter Ranch, California) then the only remaining option is to drill one or more relief wells, which can take 3-6 months to complete. During this time, huge amounts of oil and gas continue to escape, causing tremendous amounts of air, water and land pollution. Therefore, BOP's, capping systems, and relief wells will never be acceptable or adequate solutions to the problem of well blowouts.

Fortunately,
after more than 60 years of very little progess having been made in the field of blowout mitigation, the new Quantum _|_Quench technology from ParadymeUSA may finally provide a definitive solution that overcomes all of the serious problems that have kept prior methods from being successful. Had this 'revolutionary' new system been in use during the Macondo blowout, it could have ended the disaster within days and saved the BP company over forty billion dollars! Similarly, it could have saved the SoCalGas company (and their insurance companies) over one billion dollars in unnecessary losses and also prevented the need to evacuate thousands of people from the Porter Ranch community of California, while also preventing the release of millions of pounds of climate damaging methane.
